South Norfolk Police have put together a Summer Tour where they will be visiting each and every parish and/or village within their policing area. They will visiting each location in their large marked police van, providing a one hour drop in session and also conducting foot patrols and speed enforcement. They want as many people as possible to come and see us.

We have launched our consultation on the draft national flood and coastal erosion risk management strategy for England. The draft strategy marks the culmination of engagement with over 90 organisations. The Secretary of State for Defra in his climate change speech last year recognised that we need to “explore new philosophies around flood and coast management”. The draft strategy begins that process. The consultation is an opportunity to hear your views on those new philosophies and the level of ambition within the draft strategy.
The draft strategy sets out a vision for “a nation ready for, and resilient to, flooding and coastal change – today, tomorrow and to the year 2100.” It has three ambitions:
· Climate resilient places;
· Today’s growth and infrastructure to be resilient in tomorrow’s climate
· A nation of climate champions, able to adapt to flooding and coastal change through innovation
The consultation runs until 4 July and we are engaging stakeholders throughout the consultation period to encourage them and their networks to respond.

This is a very comprehensive consultation with 18+ questions so please just complete the areas that are relevant to you and your community as necessary.
The next Norfolk Police public meeting takes place on Monday, 17th June 2019 7pm-9pm at Diss Youth and Community Centre, Shelfanger Road, Diss.
This is a great opportunity to find out what is happening in your community, and to voice opinions and concerns about issues affecting Tibenham and its residents.
Representatives of local organisations are welcome to attend, and may present a brief report on their activities during the past year and their plans for the next.
The Annual Parish Meeting (APM) will be followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council. Members of the public are welcome to stay on for this meeting also, or may depart after the APM.

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C208 Diss Road from its junction with C343 Mill Road for a distance of 90 metres northwards in the PARISH OF TIBENHAM because of works to repair a parapet.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) on 26th April 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be 1 day within the period.
Alternative route is via: B1134 Long Row/ Heath Road, B1077 Haugh Road, B1113 Norwich Road/ The Turnpike, C208 Fen Road/ Diss Road (Carleton Rode/ Winfarthing/ New Buckenham/ Tibenham/ Old Buckenham/ Banham).
